About 15 years ago I decided to have a go at freshening up one of the garden beds at my family home. I knew that plants liked mulch but instead of buying some I figured I’d make do with dry horse poo in the neighbouring paddocks. The whole garden bed suddenly looked amazing (fertiliser! Who knew!) and I have been gardening ever since. When I think about what makes me eligible to give gardening advice, I believe it is my investigative approach to growing plants and designing spaces with a low budget. I have created and tended many gardens over the years and I’m always trying new ideas and methods. I just love it, and I want to inspire others love it too.
